  The Rock Inn has been her since about 1945, maybe longer. Outstanding homestyle cooking - fried chicken, for real mashed potatos and meat loaf to die for!!   Homestyle cooking with a differnt special everyday. Nancy and Shirley must have written the book on how to fix chicken fried steak! If you happen to be there when the rolls are baking you might just say “Heck with the meal, just bring me rolls and butter!” KSEY owner, Mark Alaubaugh says that they have the best club sandwich he has ever eaten, and he has at least one a day!   One would never suspect it but this little convenience store has the best “broasted” chicken you have ever had. We are serious, folks! If you are on the road, order a dozen breasts and enjoy. You won’t find chicken like this at the next place you stop and the people are really nice. Located at the intersection of Main and California .

  This place is like a Deli you might find in St. Louis.You will find just about every imaginable deli sandwich and they have a wonderful selection of breads to put them in. They have great soups for when the weather gets cold. KSEY Morning Man Lance Meinzer’s pick is the French Dip. Fantastic pasta salads! Open Monday through Friday from 11:00am until 2:00pm. • OLDE COUNTRY SAUSAGE
  When in Seymour, we suggest that you buy some of this to take home with you. Olde Country is a small local link sausage processor that uses an old Czech recipe from the Hostas family and this fantastic sausage is only made in Seymour. It is available at Handy and Lawrence Brothers Supermarkets, or you can call Kevin Hostas at (940) 888-3554 and he will see to it you get some.

  Of course they have great donuts that are prepared fresh every morning and they’re pretty good. But you wouldn’t expect to find the kind of stuff they serve for lunch at a donut place.They offer only one selection but it’s different every day. Stir fry beef and chicken, lasagna, beef stroganoff and more... and it’s only $3.99!!! Served from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
